The follow on event to the EOS Digital Experience Part I day
Taking the picture is only part of the story. To produce the best results
your shots will need to be first managed and then edited.
This event first looks at the EX Browser software that comes with your camera.
You'll discover how to use it to download your images, (quicker than your
camera) how to use star ratings and generate key words to quickly
identify pictures and how to synchronise, compare and zoom up to 4 images
at a time to sort out the very best.
We will also teach you how to quickly rename files, move them and run a
comprehensive search to find any image. We'll also demonstrate how to edit
RAW files using the browser and transfer them and JPG's to an image
editing programme such as Photoshop Elements or Photoshop.
In the afternoon, using Adobe editing software you'll be shown the essential
techniques to bring out the best in your images even those you might be initally
tempted to delete. You'll see how to crop, rotate, resize, use levels and curves
to adjust contrast, increase or reduce sharpness and improve colour.
Techniques of removing sensor dust, cutting out backgrounds or the
subject, cloning parts of the picture, layers, adding soft shadows and
replacing skies will all be shown. You'll also learn how to save the images
and set the resolution for printing, website and email.
A must for all photographers but especially beginners.
This event can be taken before or after The EOS Digital Experience Pt I.
