This event is in two parts, Flash and Macro
The Canon SPEEDLITE system
The first session of this information packed day teaches you how to
make good use of your Speedlite and demonstrates the added benefits of flash
accessories such as the CP-E4 Power Pack and ST-E2 wireless flash transmitter.
All the features, buttons and controls and menus of your Speedlite
equipment will be explained and also subjects for you to photograph,
to show you how easy it is to achieve remarkable results.
We'll cover the camera shooting modes that you can use your flash with, how
to adjust its output, its three main flash modes: ETTL, Manual and Strobe,
how to use it wirelessly and take a look at its custom functions.
We also reveal professional techniques to improve your
flash shots to prevent red eye, washed out faces, and distracting
shadows behind the subject.
To conclude we will demonstrate how to create shadowless white
backgrounds so that your subject appears to float above it just as you
see on many websites.
MACRO
Many of us have seen breathtaking close-ups of insects such as
dragonflies, flowers and small subjects so we'll show you exactly how
its done along with tips and hints that will help you make the most of
of every shot.
You'll learn about the different macro lenses, how to increase
depth-of-field, focusing techniques and how to successfully light
small subjects either indoors or out using flash and daylight.
We'll also demonstrate how to achieve sharp results even without a tripod
or an Image Stabiliser lens and how to tackle difficult subjects.
We'll also show you how to set the cameras shooting and metering modes that are
ideal for macro. And configuring a few menu items that will greatly assist you in
producing your best pictures. For light or dark coloured subjects we'll show you
how you can still retain all the brilliance/tone and not reproduce it as a muddy grey.
The world of close-up awaits you - don't miss out on this event.
