Outline:
This event will quickly show you how to make the most of
your camera's flash or separate clip-on flash to help you quickly
master the skills of using flash for portraits and wildlife.
Techniques of using light modifiers such as the Sto-Fen, Lightsphere,
Whaletail and other reflectors will all be shown along with using your
flash to lose dark shadows, avoid red-eye, washed out faces and
give soft tones.
You'll also discover methods of lighting difficult subjects such as
trophies, create great portraits, stunning close-ups and black or
dark backdrops even in full sun.
The many advantages of using flash will be demonstrated along with
advice and tips on shooting subjects off centre, in front of glass,
mirrors, dark or light backgrounds but with perfect exposure. There
is a special session on how to shoot your subjects wearing
spectacles without the distracting hotspots.
There are also practical sessions on using flash outdoors, using it
to capture motion in flight, combining it with strong or weak daylight
so you can create dramatic images. In short, it's the one event that
will teach you all you need to know about flash and its many strengths
in an easy to understand manner.
Ideal for those who wish to develop their flash photography to a more
advanced level.
