The Royal Forest of Dean, once called 'The Queen of the Forests', is one of the most
fascinating regions of Britain. Its relative isolation created by the valleys of two great
tidal rivers, the Severn and the Wye, together with its hilly terrain have helped preserve
a pattern of land use, culture and heritage unlike anywhere else in the country. It is one
of the few remaining Royal Forests in England.
On this event we'll be capturing the magic of Autumn and take you to some of the most
spectacular viewpoints. You'll be able to shoot magnificent ancient trees, perfect
reflections and a kaleidoscope of colour.
The event will include help on shooting in RAW, exposure compensation and techniques
on achieving deep depth-of-field to maximise the potential of the landscape. Shooting
and metering modes will be explained that are suitable for landscape along with
filters that can help bring out colour and sharpness under less than perfect conditions.
Full 1:1 help and small group tutorial sessions are given throughout.
